My adventures in Pregnancy Land!

Friends,
As some of you may have experienced or not if you are a man, pregnancy can twist life just a titch and somewhere between the heartburn and karate kicks my eyes were opened recently to the airport in a whole new way....

Below are some of the encounters I had on a recent trip to Anaheim to cover a cheerleading competition:

First was my interaction with airport security...believe me I tried with all my might to avoid wearing the dreaded jacket to the airport and the strip show the follows. I thought I would be sneaky and try to avoid taking off my jacket and not even trying to make taking my shoes off harder than it really is, dreading putting them back on which I almost just avoided altogether. "Mam please remove your jacket." Freak, fine, lets all behold what I have hiding under here, along with the A-bomb they apparently think I am packing, take in the glory of my giant body everyone. So 20 minutes later shoes on successfully I made my way to my gate.

Once on the plane and settled in my aisle seat, which is amazing! I don't know why I always fought for the window you can't see anything anyways, you just feel cool cause you got the "window seat" I thought I was awesome cause I could get up to pee every 5 minutes and not have 2 people despise me. Once in the bathroom I was reminded fairly quickly of a lesson I learned in Kindergarten: CIRCLES DO NOT FIT IN SQUARES, I just knew it would come in handy. Anywho long story short its awesome to pull your pants up and wash your hair at the same time.

Then the part of the ride that every passenger above 10,000 feet waits for...THE BEVERAGE CART!!! I have never been so excited to see an aluminum box in my whole life, I feel asleep once and missed its shiny drive by and have never hated anyone so much as the plump man next to me who sat and chomped his stupid peanuts and coke whilst I had nothing. Anyways, so the lovely flight attendant pulls up to me and asked me what I would like, I say to her, "I would LOVE a rum and coke." he he he
"Mam, we have a great variety of juices what one would you like?" "No, no its ok, you see I have a built in strainer so the coke is really for her and the rum is for me." (not even a grin from this lady) So after a few awkward second I just settled for a cranberry juice but I didn't take her dry peanuts, tough crowd that day, maybe her blue skirt was too tight.

All in all it was a great trip, everyone should travel while pregnant you see human kind in such a different light, complete strangers smile at you, hold doors open and tell you to have a great day for no reason. I think what a better world it would be if we treated everyone like they were carrying a little special bundle instead of only thinking of ourselves. Just something to think about, I hope you all enjoyed my experience cause I did get a little kick out of it! (literally).

Well Friends...my trials and tribulations with that STUPID playlist.com saga I was having are over! Thanks to all of you for trying to help but it turns out I am smarter than my blog! HAHAH!!! I live to blog another day, I did not know if I was going to make it!

Celebrating 50 years of marriage!

This weekend we celebrated my Grandpa Pete and Grandma Linda's 50th wedding anniversary! It was so fun to have all the family together in one place! It was held at the Lodge in Perry, Utah and the dinner was amazing, well the couple bites I could enjoy of it before I was full...I won't get into that right now. My Grandma was worried about no one coming, well she was right only like 200 people showed up, just a small gathering! My favorite part was the video that Jacki's husband put together, it was so neat to see all these pictures of my grandparents when they were my age, and how they began! My grandpa was a whopping buck thirty it was hilarious! I'm sure it felt to them like yesterday and then WHAM here we all are and its been 50 years, incredible how time can go by when you are having fun! My hat is off to them and giving me the great family I am a part of, so many amazing memories, and more to come!

Oh, and P.S. just in case you were worried about me and my starving child, yes we did manage a small piece of cheesecake! :)

The slide show below is some highlights from the day!
